Defects Surveys

Age, weather, surroundings, repairs or original build quality and historical damage can all be contributing factors causing defects within a property. Whether it’s a defective roof, the appearance of damp, a new noticeable crack or water ingress, the Brittain Hadley team of building surveyors are qualified and experienced in assessing the defect and providing recommendations for next steps. With every defect survey we undertake, whether it’s for a residential home or an assessment of a property within a managed block, you’ll receive a detailed report and analysis to help you make an informed decision on the best course of action.

Based on our inspections we provide a detailed report that includes our observations, comments and recommendations along with photographic evidence. If required, we can also provide budget estimates for the recommended work and assist with implementing those works. We carry all relevant equipment to help make a full assessment, from drone surveys and detailed damp readings to thermal imaging cameras.

Drone surveys enable us to form a clear picture of the condition of a building which we can then asses and report upon. It’s highly accurate and eliminates the requirement for erecting ladders, scaffolding or viewing platforms - therefore saving time and money in the long run.

Our experienced and licenced drone surveyors can carry out detailed assessments of all types of building defects that from ground level we simply can’t see as long as it’s safe and legal to operate a drone in the area you’re in.

Typical defects surveys we undertake include:

  • Drone Surveys for Roof Analysis

  • Damp Surveys

  • Cracking Surveys

  • Water Ingress Surveys
